Finish coming off on center console

My car is 1yr old and the finish on my center console is slowly coming off.

Should I bring this to dealer's attention or try to fix this myself? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I would take it to the dealer and see . You have a bumper to bumper warr. That being said did I see on of the tree air freshners in your picture ? That could be causing the problem. The chemicals in those things can leech out onto anything . They will say its not covered due to outside sources. I would check with them frst. Good luck with what ever you decide.

I can't even see what you are talking about.

Edit - oh never mind...I see it now. I would definitely bring that to the dealer. Or paint the whole thing gloss black.

Thx guys. I think it's the air freshener like marx mentioned; didn't think it could take the finish off.
Can anyone recommend a paint that will match the black finish?
