Product to clean up grease from axles?

Can someone recommend a product to degrease and axle externally, while still fitted on the car, that is safe for axle boots?

I was thinking Simple Green?

Must be safe for boots.

I would say Simple Green, too...or just a warm water and dishwashing soap mix (like Dawn).

Lestoil is a good inexpensive option as well.

Nothing.

Wrap the rag around it and ass floss. Turn the axle and repeat.
