Simple Green on 2011 WRX wheels

Here is what you need... a car wash ... a bucket.. water and either a very soft brush ... sponge or microfiber towel and your hands dirty. If you want something more potent then you can buy some adams all purpose cleaner or another brand made specific for cars. On my detail thread I mention using the proline grout sponge.... one of the good detailers from the site would use them and after he was ready to toss is.. he would cut the sponge in different ways to use on wheels and other small areas on the car. The point is that unless you buy an expensive cleaner like sonox, you're going to have to do the work. Clean them and have them opti-coated and then all you'll need is a power washer.

Thanks guys. I probably used simple green on my wheels about 2-3 times. It made cleaning a little easier and I never saw any ill effects. Now when I am done washing my car I just take an old wash mitt and wipe the wheels down. I really don't think any cleaner is necessary, if you don't mind putting some work in.
