Inside Cleaner

I just got a 08 Sti about 3 months ago.. i have cleaned the inside several times. i have tried all different types of cleaner for the dash n everything.. and after i clean it i am having streaks and white marks on my dash and doors.. does anybody have a clue what to do..

i need to kno asap.. i am in a car show this saturday..

I have used Armor All and a number of like products on past cars, and they all streaked, made the dash look "greasy", etc.

When I got my WRX, I swore I wouldn't make the same mistake. That's when I switched to this stuff (on recommendation from a car enthusiast co-worker) and never looked back:

Simply put, this stuff does just what it says--leaves the dash, doors, etc looking brand spanking new, without streaking or leaving a greasy film. Far and away the best interior detailer spray I've found.

For application, I generally use 2 microfiber towels--one to work the spray into the dash/door/etc, and a second to completely dry the surface being cleaned. Letting most of these products dry on their own vs. completely wiping dry has a tendency to leave the marks you mentioned.

I just picked up some Meguiars Natural Shine protectant. Works pretty good. Haven't had issues with streaking or dirt sticking to the dash.

....Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer is very similar to Einzsett (1z) CP. I have been using 1z for years and it has always been a favorite of mine. However, I also have been using QID and have grown to like it equally. Meguiars reformulated QID relatively recently supposedly adding UV inhibitors. The newer formulation requires a final wipe down in some cases. .....my personal experience with 1z was that no wipedown was ever necessary since the product flash dried and left no residue. I'm not saying QID does leave a residue but it can tend to streak minimally at times (likely the UV inhibitors). Both products leave a nice, OEM, matte-like finish.

....I've been using 303 for years but never liked it on interior bits. I don't care for the smell nor the satin-like shine. Obviously, some folks do so if that is what you are looking for, 303 might be your thing. ....for those of us who prefer a more muted, matte-like, OEM finish, 1Z CP/Meg QID are much better solutions.
