    When the engine bay is not hot, spray it down with Simple Green, then use a pressure washer (not full blast) but avoid sensitive areas. Wipe it down then go back over the tough spots with Simple Green and scrub.

    ^ Ah yep. I just use my garden hose. Been doing this on all of my cars since the early 90's with zero problems.
