At one point, the guy says he charges $75/hr for his services, which would mean a 50-hour detail cost the owner $3750

I desperately need a good power polish, might just use some good old fashioned elbow grease over the long weekend however.
Considering how expensive some of the chemicals/equipment he must use, I can see $75/hr. And that was one dirty lambo.

My neighbor had his cigarette boat deatailed for $6k last year. Then the guys who detailed it offered to detail my dads dump truck for the same price... My dad laughed at them.
I guess if you have the money you can do stupid things like that.

damn, my car is lucky if it gets to see a clay bar (which I desperately need to do sometime after all this pollen goes away) .. but atleast my car RARELY gets as dirty as that lambo was.. I wipe the door jambs every time I wash..as well as under the hood and hatch. My car may not be show room shine.. but its always as clean as the weather will allow me to keep it.

WOW!!! I wish I could afford to be a rich idiot. I couldn't have a Lambo and allow it to get that dirty in the first place. Could have saved himself 3k just by not allowing it to get to that point. Idk, some peoples kids...
Some cars (exotics) can only take certain car cleaning ingrediants... Some brakes you can't use tire dressing on the tire... If you do your two pei e break rotor will warp..
and to think - most subaru owners like it when their car is dirty...
