stage 2 vs. cooper s

So i was putting on my new lip today and my friend pulls up in his mini cooper s. it was the first time i saw it and it was a very nice car. he has a super charger that comes stock with the "s" and has that kit that all the mini cooper's usually get that bumps hp from 160 to 210. I asked him to do a fun run so we headed out to the highway. we hit about 3 redlights and did every run from a stop. same thing happened everytime i got the jump by a car to 1.5 cars. and continued to pull pretty hard. by 60-70 i would have 2-3 cars on him still pulling. he recorded the race both from his car and mine.

no he has one of those "kits", so the mini wasn't stock.

nice run... if you would have gone a full 1/4mile you would have put some real distance on him (upto 5 cars or so)

I ran into one on the highway a ways back, girl driving – not that it matters, but I had the hardest time keeping with the Mini S. I had this girl with me and she was giving me a bit of s*** for not being able to dust the Mini off.....that thing was waaaaaaaay faster than the ones I had had encounters with...

I think the kit is known as the "works" package. That'd be a fun car. Mini with 210+ hp. Until you get rear ended by an H2 .

I have driven one once. They are fun indeed!
but the strange interior and the lack of power does not excite me the way it should.

I had a Cooper S that i was only able to slowly walk away from from about 20-100. Surprised the hell out of me. Im stage 2.

I test drove one. Its like driving a gokart on the street

def. a nice car. It handles great, fun to drive, and decently modable. Just has an ugly interior and "not so impressive" power when stock.

I test drove S model back few months ago when my cousin got one. It handles very nicely for FWD setup, but it lacked power. S/C sounded very nice with that distinct whining sound.
