Chitown guys: Great Lakes Dragaway is right across the IL border, and only about an hour away from Schaumburg. $20-$25 to race. www.greatlakesdragaway.com for directions and schedule. Byron Raceway is out south of Rockford, and maybe about 90 minutes away. Rt 66 in Joliet, and US41 in Morocco, IN are other alternatives. I'm sure you spend more than 90 minutes driving around or trying to set up a race. If you show up at the track, it's all there ready and waiting for you. And you'll be able to line up against a variety of different vehicles.

There are also various autocrosses going on throughout the year, where actual driving skill is rewarded. I'll be at one at Joliet Junior College on Sunday, Oct 6. Run what ya brung, no SCCA categories. Lemme know if you're interested, and I'll send you the link.

"With their ****s in their hands and feet in their mouth"? Who talks like that? LMFAO. Put the movie script down, please. Having the right to be cocky because you or your friend owns an allegedly fast car doesn't give you or them the right to talk trash.

Who earns more respect in your eyes?

A). The guy with the fast car that talks ****, swaggers around, insults others, and thinks he's untouchable, or
B). The guy with the fast car that's humble, willing to help others learn, has respect for other people's rides, and still maintains a sense of humor.

Which group do you and your friends want to be known as? As you get older, you'll learn that there's a lot more reward to being in group B.

Do us all a favor: work on learning how to drive your car before adding more power. Pretty please.

    Joliet, IL autocross info

    http://www.jolietsportscarclub.com

It's a small group typically composed of 35 cars. I'll be there in either the Blue WRX with black Morettes or the Pewter Firehawk convertible.

    Sorry for continuing off topic...
