    S2k potential....

One of my buddy recently just bought a used 02 s2k with only 12k on it. It's a great looking car and handles pretty well. The only thing it's lack of is the low-end power. I drove his car and noticed my stage 2 wrx pull much harder than his s2k. We are going to the track tomorrow. I wonder what would be a decent time for him to get? He said several people on his forums broke high 13s bone stock. I think it's a high 14 sec car?

Yeah... they're quick. The only thing thats decieving when you drive one is it doesn't have that rush of boost like the wrx.... Once I put the VF34 on I was suprised how smoothly it spooled up compared to the stocker and it almost didn't feel as powerful unless you payed attention. (not really, def way faster)

Those S2k's get pretty quick into the triple digits. My wife's stg 2 wagon destroyed her girlfriends S2k from a street roll, but from a highway roll into the triple digits... watch out

a n/a motor w/ a high rev is totally different than a turbo car....the s2000 will pull up top in the rpm range unlike the wrx which dies after 6k...throw a turbo or s/c on a s2000 and watch out

Will a turbo work well with a high revving motor like that?

yeah, the car is quite capable of high 13's stock. It is kinda hard to launch and find the perfect shift points though, so your average driver will only turn out time such as 14.3's or so.
You can expect a good driver to get 13.9's
You can expect a decent driver to get 14.2-14.4
You can expect a not so good driver to get 14.5.14.7

They are very fast at higher speeds and still pretty quick from a dig. Its a really nice car and one of the funnest vehicles I have ever driven

yes, several people have used turbo on the car. Many like the s/c better because it creates more low end, but obviously the turbo has more potential
