A s/c Mustang or one of the fastest, best handling RWD cars ever made. Ya, thats a tough one.

Evo's have soooo much potential, in the new super street/modified mag(dont remember which one, i get both of them in the mail) there is 10 sec street evo that is simply gorgeous and its still awd which= amazing handling, dont get rid of it man, you'll miss it!

    KEEP THE EVO!
actually...alot of people do not realize this but it's not always about the whole brand being unreliable. it is usually certain models that bring down a whole brand. the ford mustang, amazingly, is actually one of the more reliable cars around.

WRX and EVOs are rated stupid high by insurance companies.

    I'm 23 too. I pay 330 a month for my Evo.

I say keep the Evo. You can make it faster then a GTO with the difference you would have to spend to buy a GTO. Plus you live in NY. GTO would suck up north for the snow you guys get.

Here's another thought: New 04 GTO's are going for $24 -$25K right now. I just checked out three of them here in Chicagoland at different dealers. Two dealers were going to give me the 05 Ram Air hood for no extra charge even! That's $8,000 LESS than the 05's. I'm fairly certain that with $8,000 invested into that 350 hp LS1, you'll be way ahead of the speed game compared to a stock Evo or stock 05 GTO...

Oh, and a set of Blizzaks on the stock wheels with the factory traction control will get most RWD cars through winters just fine. No more crazy driving like in an AWD or great launches in the rain, of course, but it's not like you have to park it if there's a few inches of snow on the pavement...

Turbo and Supercharger kits are available for the 2004 GTO with the LS1. Between 400 - 481 rwhp and 400 - 465 rwtq for $6,000 or less... http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/GTO...ercharger.html

Or go n/a with nice heads ($1,500), good cam ($300), headers ($1,000), and another $1,000 for various valvetrain and bolt on parts for an easy 400 rwhp on motor alone.

Or get a little funky, and combine all of the above and be looking at a 500-600 rwhp beast for $10,000 in parts. Not bad for a car that you can get now for $25,000 new.

Decide what you want out of a car. When modified, either an Evo or a Goat would make a lot of people very happy.

Keep the evo man. Your just wasting more money by buying GTO. With those money, you can buy bigger turbo and smoke the GTO without really tripping about traction.

    Yeah, big waist of money...

Have you read the last page of posts? The new LS2 GTO is going for <27k and you get 400 HP... Dollar for dollar the Goat will always be faster.
