WRX vs STi & Trans Am L1

Well, since many didn't know if my car could actually keep up with an STi as I posted about 1-2weeks I wanted to see if it was in fact the driver who lost the race.

So I goto dpa, and a STi comes up on the side of me. I asked if he was stock, and he said yes so I told him to follow me to the service road. As we are going, about 6 other cars follow us to watch (how they knew we were going to race was beyond me) So we get to the service road and do a 1st gear roll 20mph (Like the last STi I raced) 3 honks and we punched it. Unlike last time where I jumped out on him, this guy jumped on me about a half of a car. Shifting into 3rd we were even, 4th I was a little more then a half of a car in front and a full car at the top of 5th which we shut down.

So behind us as we raced was a trans am. Greenish looking with those like angle eyes, sounds brollic. I waved him up and we also go from a 1st gear roll, 20mph. We took off and were even into 2nd and I start pulling on him mid 3rd, about a half of a car in 4th and about a full car at 120mph where I shut down. I'm not sure the specs of these cars, but I it had to have work done to it unlessit comes stock sounding like it did.

After all that racing in one night, back to back I threw a engine code but prolly because I shifted a little late on one of my shifts. It comes on to tell me I'm a dumbass pretty much, lol.

haha. Yeah I'll goto my friends house this weekend and he'll tell me what I did.

I wanted to go top of 5th because others said I shut down too quick and that the sti would have caught up if we kept going so.

We will race as soon as the weather is nicer.

My clutch is on it's way out. I don't want to kill it faster. And on the streets I like to do it from a roll, seems more fair. From a dig, if the person gets a crap launch the whole race is done for almost. From a roll, if you miss a gear you might be able to react quick enough.

I don't know, that's my dumb excuse lol. Also, I'd only go from a dig if I know the other guy might be faster then me and not AWD

cool man, I hear that the lt1's have a lot of low end torque, but lack the top end of the ls1. Your race sounds about right.

    Nice kill

It's good to know that there are fast wrx out there! I wish mine was that fast but that won't happen for a while, going to spend 1100 on sound system, so all i will be able to get is exhaust(already have one just not installed) tint and mabey uppip and down pipe.
