    Lost to a IS300-T!!!

What a crazy weekend I've had! Damn, but what can I say, a V6 Turbo is faster up top then a 4cyl with the proper mods. I had just beaten a 97-99 Eclipse Turbo with Plates saying " DSM JDM" when all of a sudden I heard another BOV, and behold a Silver Stock Looking IS300 wanted to run me. I got excited because this is a rare find and had to go against him!

So we finally get a straight doing about 85ish and I drop it to 4th and we are close, but he starts passing me. I missed 5th gear and my car started poping like a Wild Wild West movie and pist me off cuz I lost Ground. He had a good 2 cars on me by the end of the run up to 120ish.

This freakin Lex. started Shooting 3ft. continous flames from his Exhaust as if he had a dragon back there! That **** was awesome. I wanted to go again and put my hazards cuz of my Ef-up but oh well, I was gonna lose again anyways. Awesome sleeper and good looking car, I went down fighting, but at least lost to a worthy vehicle

There do have an inline 6. Its got 215hp and 218 torque. At the track they do a 15.3 @ 92mph. Not a bad platform to start from.

    nice race!

those cars have insane mod potential.. Even though its not fast it looks nice with a great interior and has decent pick up.. I would not mind having one at all.

My girlfriend has an IS300, it's a very nice car. I love driving it even though it's an auto. The car "feels" fast because it's very responsive down low. Overall, it's a very nice car. It could definitely use a bump in power though, which I've heard will probably happen soon.

that is a common misconception. while they share the same block the head is differnt. the is300 carries a 2jzgt as the supra both na and turbo (4th gens) carry a 2jzgte

also so the sc430 carries a 4.3 liter v8. hence why the 430.

Yeah, that's the one.....OMG, that car is just sweet....

I guess the IS300 is the closest way for somebody to have a supra-like performance car these days......(strong motor, tons of potential, etc, etc...) How hard is it to get supra heads for the IS300?

Nice death. And thanks for sharing. A lot of people on these forums would never post if they were beat and they should. There will always be a faster care out there. Thanks for sharing.

Turbo'ing those cars is fairly simple, relatively speaking. JDM IS300's come turbo'ed from the factory, so in the same way it's an easy swap to put an EJ207 in a wrx, it's about the same thing for them.

Supra heads are a dime a dozen, btw, since the tuner community has been around so long. Either aftermarket or factory stock, you can get them ALLLL over the place.

I would have gotten one of those or a G35 if I hadn't hit up my Rex when I did.
