you undermine wrxs, most up here trap 93+ most around 94, even seen 95-96 before.

I ran 14.0@97 with a catback which we know its like 10 hp at best.

Hell a local NASIOC moderator hit 13.5 with an mbc only and taking off the rear muffler, then another did 13.3 with mbc bone stock!

Then we have some freak ass exhaust + mbc 12.98 kid.
    ----------------

do these times sound ok? not the traps on top, but the other times.

i thought i wouldn't have that much of a problem with a wrx with just an exhaust and mbc... but if they run 12.98, damn. hehe.

the kid that posted this has an ecu and exhaust stuff done, he raced an s4 that runs 106mph traps and he beat it and he thinks that he runs 106mph traps. Am i missing something, or is he just dreaming.

Weight reduction? Other than that, I agree...that seems a few tenths too fast for those mods.

i dunno if it could be possible but the only way i could see it is if they are runnin a very unsafe tune....they have to be at 16+psi and launching from 5k....they might have times that fast but their car wont b lasting very long....id rather have a safe reliable tune w/ any mod than a very aggressive unreliable tune and need to replace my motor because it blew up

well yeah its very unreliable, his car cant even go past 110 on the freeway but he can run 12's on the track trapping close to that i still dont understand what he did with his car, i know he said he still has the uppipe and stock turbo so i looked under the hood and he does. but he has turboback intake boost controller and an ecutek reflash, its fukcing fast!! but very unreliable

If he's got EcuTek reflash on there, it's reliable.

There is no way in hell that a wrx with just a mbc or exhaust can run high 12's. If thats the case, why spend $30,000 on an STi when you could spend $20,000 on a wrx??

V6Turbo ran 13.5 with a drop in filter and mbc. He takes pride in running as fast as possible without spending any money.

Many of us have run low 13s (13.1-13.3s) with engine management, exhaust, mbc , Doug and myself were running 13.1s-13.3s several years ago with just a few mods.

There are also a few guys that have run high 12s with engine management, exhaust, headers, mbc, etc. But it is very rare. They are usually running some race gas and boosting the turbo to its limits.

These times are on the extreme edge. The average WRX owner does not run these times. It takes some very good driving and excellent track conditions to pull it off.
