    WRX vs. S2000 from ~20-80mph

This morning on the way to work, I had a chance to run with S2000 from about 20-80mph. His car looked pretty much stock, but not sure if he had the intake or not. I have a MBC set at 14.2 psi (.1Mpa) and a BPM GT turboback.

Neither one of us could pull away from one another up to around 80mph. We had to slow down because of incoming traffic and the speed limit set at 55 mph. I guess MBC really helps in 2nd gear.... Weather was pretty chilly and nice.

nice race, those S2000 are fast. if you race someone from a stop who knows how to drive one it will be a real close race.

You should try cranking your boost up to 16psi then having another go at the S2000. You should walk him with your other mods...(I think)

yeah I agree but they are pricks to launch because of their peaky
no balls at low RPM engine.

When I had one for a day from the dealer I got a few good launches blew away an M3 from a stop that was fun. but also had some terrible take offs bunny hopping away is pretty emabarasing. I suppose it'd be better once you are used to the car though.

Madwagon - Is your car not loud with you running no cats except for the one in the uppipe? I am planning on going the same route, but am not sure how loud the whole thing will be.... I have a 5zigen catback whick is not loud right now.

stock yes they have better #'s than us, but even just with a boost controller, we should be faster with a good driver...

over on s2k.com they got stock drivers slipping 13.6... a wrx is a good car but i doubt it can do that with just a mbc... maybe dip into the high 13s but not a 13.6
