There is a festiva here in KC that ran a 12 sec 1/4. It would destroy most cars from a roll. Powered by a turbo mazda motor I believe. Can't remember. The local racing forums is down but when it's back up I'll show you all pics. It's the ultimate sleeper. Sold for 3 grand after all the parts were done. Worth every penny.

Must of had a eclipse 4G63T swap.
agreed. buddy of mine around roanoke built a neon green FUGLY lil beast using an old itty bitty hyundai hatch and a 4g63 with a bigger turbo, starion intercooler and ecu tuning. runs high 12's consistently at bristol. sleepers are great "piss of everyone" projects.

Here's the write up on the local festiva in KC

So tell me this ... when you race a Festiva, do you either a) brag about "beating a festiva" or b) tell your buddy you "kicked a Festiva's butt"? You know, either way, you're going to look like a loser, so you might as well not talk about it. When Tim first came to me after buying a $400 car, and said the bugger was going to go 12's, I knew it was going to be COTM material. If there is one person in KC that is going to get a Festiva to go 13's or faster - it would be Tim. Funny thing is that Tim has been having so much fun with this little 4 banger, that he never gets a chance to bring out his real race car (10sec Monte Carlo). So, without more delay, I give you Tim R's daily driven Turbo Festiva (and no he didn't even clean it for photos).

That guy with the Festiva is my hero. The only thing better would be to swap engines and put something fierce in a Pinto and light people up in that
