Thats what i'm saying. The Eclipse is a heavy sunuva*****. My 4 Cyl. weighs in the neighborhood of 3800 lbs.

Oh man I didn't know eclipse's weighed that much, no wonder I am able to hang with and/or beat some of them in my pos mirage. I knew they are like high 15 low 16 second cars but never knew why.

Yeah man, its a very very heavy car, it takes alot of mods to get them running in the 13's...all motor it isnt possible with a 4 cyl atleast. The only way to get a 4 cyl eclipse into the 13's is a turbo.

    Here's a V6 that can run about a very low 13

Just very expensive to get it to that much horsepower ya know.

Yeah I could make my mirage run 13's with this turbo kit they sell for the car and run the boost at 10psi but I am just gonna get a brand new wrx or a used STi and build that up and have my mirage as the car that gets the majority of the miles.

Just checked the weights of the new Eclipses. About 3,000 lbs. for the I4; around 3,300 for the V6.

"No, I made a couple of mistakes."

I could of sworn it was more than that. Ill have to check.

    Edit: A V6 weighs 3,200 and the I4 2850.

Thats heavy for a "Sports Compact"

I think it is very believable that the wrx could have lost like that. It doesn't take much to pull that hard on a car on the road, if you are in the wrong gear etc etc. Sure the WRX is the faster car but in the real world on the street no race is 100 percent equal, someone is always going to get the jump, someone is going to be in a better spot in their power band, its just how it is in the real world. A wrx is your average car on the street from a roll, and he if was in the wrong gear or didn't punch it right away that story is very believable.
