Hey like many others said you obviously aren't getting the point here. Sure every single Z06 is capable of those times. I am not argueing that a Z06 can't run 12s, what i am saying is that a perfect run isn't as common as an imperfect run. Those low 12 second times are usually the perfect run, while many times with just a slight mistake will net you 13s. I went to the track with my 1988 supra and i ran a best of 13.9@103mph, but with almost identical launches and shifts i ran a number of passes from 14.0-14.5. So yeah my supra runs high 13s, but in the real world its more likely i run a low 14. It is more likely to see a Z06 run low 13s then it is to run 12s, not that those cars can't run 12s but not everyone that owns a Z06 can push it to its best abilities. It is real easy to come off the line a little hard and spin them then next time come off a little easy and bog it, i have seen it many times at the track. If you get a Z06 to spin it off the line and an STI to get a perfect launch its very possible the STI could win the race. Is the STI faster? NO, but in many cases in the real world its fast enough to hold off a Z06 in a non perfect race, in which a slower car wouldn't be able to hold off the Z06 even with a terrible launch.

What time did your Z06 run stock?

    Hey Southpaw,

How are you liking your C6? It's definately the best Vette yet! Was there a big dealer markup?
You squeezed some good power from your Rex. What would you advise for a new STI owner for first mods(Or anyone). Thanks!

I love the car. There was no dealer markup. My rex did make some decent power with a pretty nice setup, even if it was short-lived. I suggest a decent stage 2 setup to start. Go with good EM and never use a MBC! I got close to the engine's/ tranny's breaking point and didn't want to drop $10-15,000 into it ....
