    SRT Vs. WRX

    Stock to Stock Can the SRT-4 take a WRX? The 1/4 and 0-60 times I think state that the WRX is faster but too many SRT-4 owners talk big. So whats the Deal? Is it just that the SRT gains more power with little mods?

    Stock for Stock the SRT-4 is faster then the wrx.

    a well driven srt4 gets into the high 13's..well driven wrx at best is a 14.1 car....srt4 also traps higher..and of course is faster off a roll...0-60 wrx might be faster due to awd...its rare to see a well driven srt4 (off a launch that is) fwd too much torque

    0-60mph = WRX wins
    1/4mi = SRT-4 wins

    SRT is cheap to mod, also. Neat little cars for the money.

    The one thing I like about those cars is that they are cheap! and the FMIC, which I also like about the Evo. I think the inside of the SRT-4 sucks compared to the WRX, and the body I dont like as well. WRX still in my opinion a lot better if you live in an area where you need AWD.

    yeah i'd rather have a nicer but slower car car. But the SRT4 will well worth the money i think

    Stock for stock, the WRX will take the SRT-4 out up to 60mph, but the SRT-4 will come walking by in the 1/4 mile.

    IMHO Stage 2 WRX = Stock SRT-4 power for power. Just look at my signature. And I have owned both cars at both stages of modification.

    lol. good stuff. everyone above is correct. and surprisingly no one was a **** about it. good stuff. also just for a refernce my stock 04 srt made more to the wheels the stock wrx at the crank. 230whp/260tq. down the the paper filter.

    Yeah I dont understand why the stock WHP is not much less than the Crank HP on the SRT-4? That is a Stage 2 rex with those whp numbers. Why is our stock whp in the high 160's or whatever it is?

    awd=drivetrain loss

    fwd= minimal drivetrain loss

    the whp on srt4 is about the same as crank for a very simple reason..car is underrated ..its not really only 230crank hp..its probably closer to 250-260hp and 270-280 torque stock @ the crank

    FWD=less drivetrain loss but I lost nearly 45-50 Hp between my crank RSX Type S to actual Hp at the wheels.

    yes, but then there are some SRT-4 drivers that can't drive.

    one that comes to mind is i saw an SRT-4 at the track with "I EAT V8S" as his plate and he got beat by an Audi TT. both ran high 14's


    i never got to run against a SRT-4. the closest was a guy right behind me at a light in traffic. i wanted to see what he had and how i would've done in my VF30 wagon
