    Are they Nuts!!!

    From Autonews:

Nissan of North America Decline GT-R.

While Nissan has said that it wants to turn the GT-R concept, a four-passenger coupe, into a production vehicle and market it in the United States, designers here dislike the styling direction the automaker is taking. Also, Nissan still has to make a business case for selling the vehicle outside Japan.
If it is given the green light for the U.S. market, it will come with a price that could top $60,000. The earliest would be the 2006 model year.

Yep, they're nuts. I almost thought they wouldn't want to release it do to insurance rates and such (ie. the demise of the RX-7 and Supra) but they just released the 350Z so...

Nissan figured that they just released 350Z, so they can ride on that for awhile before people are bored with it again.

But imagine the boost it could give the Infiniti line. It would just add to the G35 publicity

From behind it looks like one of the older late 70's (and ugly) Corvettes. Me no like. They need to go back to the design board IMO!

what they need to do is screw the new design.....just certify the older model for US. ugh, i guess too much GT3 has made me lust for all these non-US models.......oh well, i guess subaru got the idea.

Is it just me or does that look a LOT like the Celica? The taillights are a bit different, but the rest looks pretty close.
