Theres a red srt-4 around my area some where. He always drives by my house and his BOV goes off. I want to race him, haven't found his house yet though.

Is your wrx white? Because there was a guy on the srt forums that said there was a wrx in his neighborhood and said that he drives by and makes his BOV goes off. Weird coincidence.

I read an old import magazine and they reviewed the SRT. Some guy who owned the SRT made some major upgrades. The car was like +300-500whp. I'm not sure the exact numbers, but the engine just blewup. The engine was leaking oil, etc. Major problem. I've read many magazines, and I don't recall any WRX's engine blowing up with major (+500whp) modes. It was like his spark plugs did not work correctly?

Any input guys on this magazine article?? It was like late last year.

My input: if you have an SRT don't do anything major until some has.

The car belonged to Steve Andreson and on it's last dyno trip it layed down 524hp to the wheels. That car had STOCK internals with a bunch of bolt-ons. On the day it blew up at the track, it was running 42 pounds of boost. PLEASE tell me what STOCK bottom end can handle 42psi? Detonation is what did that engine in.

Steve Anderson is a pioneer in the SRT-4 community. He paved the way and showed everyone just how strong the stock bottom end is on this car.

The guy had 500+ hp and the stock block and tranny before he blew it at the track.

The reason you dont see any wrx's w/ that much hp blowing up is because there aren't that many, and if they do have that much hp it is VERY rarely on stock bottom end and tranny. There have been a few in the 400+hp that were just waiting for something to break and had the replacement in their garage already.

Maybe one of the srt guys on here who visit srtforums.com more than I do can give some more info on the guy from over there whose car it was.

Edit: Man you guys are fast.
