WHENever that things actually comes here like theyve been saying for the past two years, Id be hard pressed to choose between the two (plain jane WRX). The Evo has from the looks of it, an awesome differential system, +++helical, more power and better brakes, but does anyone else think those pics are ugly? For the extra 5 grand Id put in that car, I could get wheels, suspension, and at least 50 more horsepower from the stock WRX, at a more attractive, reliable product. Its all a toss up, the Evo also has a warranty and is fast as snot out of the box.

Oh, and note that the differential is automatically free'd on application of the park brake - this enables rally-style tight cornering. Y-eah!

I have read that when the Evo 7 comes the the US market it will NOT have those sweet diffs, which is a good thing for those of us with a rex...but it would be sweet to have the added tracktion..

What it comes down to is that the US people get the Evo 8. We actually dont get the evo 7. The evo 8 will have 250 hp in the US. I have some spy pics from a weekly mag. They discuss it. They say that it will cost around the 30's. The body will also be different, simmilar but different. I can try to sacn the pics if anyone is intrested? Its just a little blurb.
