The undying quest for a WRX challenge

Hey guys...I really enjoy your forum and frequent it often to check in on any good racing stories....oh ya, and cause that one guy who you all attempted to bann crack's me up....rsxsucks or whatever his name is. I never post so I thought I'd contribute today.

I own a 2002 S4 with a simple cat back exhaust and GIAC X-Chip. I see a few REX's around Fort Wayne here...a few silver one's and a kid here own's a sweet blue REX. I kinda know the kid who owns the blue REX...I raced him earlier this year on the highway...actually...his friend was driving his car for him...we took them out onto the highway and did a few runs from 60 on. He had just put a large intercooler on the car and I think bigger turbo (not sure). I only had my chip at the time. Anywhos...from 60 on up to about 120? we were pretty much dead even. I didn't downshift the first time we attempted it...I think I was in Fifth gear and we hung bumper to bumper. The second time I downshifted to third and very very slowly walked away from him. Well, that was the only time I had a chance to run against a REX...every other time I see one around they look at me like I'm crazy or don't acknowledge that I want to play. I just don't understand...maybe cause it's during the day when I see the other REX's...I should go strolling at night more often. Anywhos, thanks for the great forum and stories and I love the Scoobie...it's such a flipping nice car and it's potential is insane! If any of you reading this live in Fort Wayne...the next time you see a black S4 with mirrored windows pull up alongside of ya...let's take em for a spin! Good day to everyone

it's a bit out of the way...Indiana. Head on over...it would be fun. That's a sweet pic of your car all dirty btw...makes me jealous...can't do that in a S4.

Or maybe your dirty "naked rear end?"

I can't get S4s to race me anymore. I ran against one back when I was lightly modded (intake and axle-back) and lost, but it was a good race. Now, no one around here wants to play

I raced a S4 once. I had him to the top of third by one car length and then he went right by me. I was stock at the time and he had a catback that I could see. Good race though.

    Hey Bobby,

Check the "midwest i-club" forum on i-club.com. The locations change time to time, but they normally get together at a borders or dennys. (Still new to the area so I have no clue where exactly). They always post up where the meets are going to be. I haven't had time to actually go to one yet due to med school.
