I finally got to run a friend's stock 350Z today. He just learned stick so it's been a learning curve. We made 3 runs on the hwy from 60-100mph so there wouldn't be any really shifting/skill as compared to a 0-100mph run. The first run I pulled 1.5+ cars on him because he was in the wrong gear. The third run I pulled 1+ car on him again because of his reaction time to the honks. The second run I gave him the jump and he was at my rear bumper so he did rather well.
I haven't been to the dyno since I tunned my A/F so my current highest is 218whp but I'm assuming I have 220whp. I also had a passenger in my car ( 150lbs ) today so I figured a Stage 2.5 would pull 1.5+ cars on a stock 350Z. We both had a good time.![]()

I was trying to utilize a mph range where he wouldn't have to worry about shifting as much. He actually does rather well now since I've seen his race other people on the hwy. I've read that a 350z is a little slower than a Stage 2.5 WRX; I only count runs from 0 to 100 since I rarely need to go even close to those speeds. I'm sure the typical argument is that ... if we kept on going that the 350z would start pulling but I really don't care. I actually thought the 350z would have done a little better since I had an extra person in the car. I was expecting us to be beside each other all the way from 60-100.

depending on the driver, 350Z can trap anywhere from 99 to 103mph. Check out my350z.com

you would have killed him either way, even if he's a good driver. i have beat g35 and 350z with a test pipe from 60 to 100 easily with Cobb stage 2.5.![]()
he's not talking about Cobb stage 2.5 with VF30/34. It's TXS stage 2.5 equivalent mod w/ stock turbo.

It's more along the lines of a TurboXs Stage 2.5 not a Cobb Stage 2.5; I'm still using the stock turbo so nothing too fancy. It doesn't really matter too much to me since I plan to go to a STI w/ turboback+ ... that's the reason I'm running a Stage 2.5 and not Stage 4. I still want a 0-60 <4sec. I heard a 350Z T is fast as nuts, I think that's cool.
