Thumbs up **The Mighty COBRA & HEMI meet their demise at the hands of my 4-banger!!!**

    COBRA

Just like the title says, I was out last night cruising with a friend when I heard something loud rev and chirp it's tires behind us. I could tell it was a mustang. My friend (who was in the lane to my left) gunned it to clear a space for him to move up next to me. I was in second gear when his fender rolled into sight. A nice shiny cobra emblem! It was the 94-??? body style with the rounder lights... No sooner than I see the snake does he gun it, but I was at my 4000 rpm sweet spot. I immediately pulled a car on him (hello traction) and slammed it into 3rd.. put my foot to the floor, and pulled more!!! I shut down for a light when I was at least a full car ahead of him and he pulls up to me and says, " , nice car, I'm running on low compression...!" So I said, " thats ok, I'm running on low boost!" It was awesome, he pulled a left into the gas station as I passed by.

    HEMI

About two hours ago I was on my way home from work when I pulled behind what looked like a Dodge Magnum. It was nice and rumbley with dual exhaust. So when the light turns green he guns it! I follow to the next light but this time pull along side him. Thats when I notice its not a Magnum, but a Hemi 300C. Dark blue, with what looked like 20 inch crome wheels! I looked right at the guy through his tinted window and knew he wanted to play. Now I dare not launch my car out of fear of blown heads and shattered gears (plus it would be far to much of a slaughter) So i ease on it at the green and shift lightly at ~ 4000 rpms. By this time he is about 3-4 cars ahead and PULLING. When boost came on in 2nd I began to reel him in and pull all the way to redline with full boost! I even waved to him as I passed him. By the time I shifted to 3rd and let off I was 5+ cars on him and he hooked a right.

I have had an itch to run all week and I just happened to run into both of these nice rides. I haven't really got on the car all that much to to the fear of meeting the doom of most stock block 18G setups.... It was fun, and I'm still runnin'.
