STI vs my lil ol SRT-4 at the track

Well went to the track last Firday at LACR to test out my car, since I haven't ran it in awhile. I was willing to run anything because I just wanted to see what new times I'm putting down now and behold, I get lined up with a White STI. I ran my best 12.3 to the STI's 12.4. It was a sweet race, he got me out the hole by at least 1 1/2 cars and was able to catch him at the end. I was wondering if the guy is in here because I ended up leaving after the race? All I could see was a Big Exhaust and nice Gauges inside.

I need to update my sig, but I have added the Greddy E-Manage, E-01 EBC and boosting 16-18psi with Falken Azenis 215 16's for better grip up front. Total cost, excluding rims, tires and suspension ( It was Free ) I payed about $1,800

Thanks for the cool comps guys., I'm also still wondering what he had done, I'm thinking maybe just intake and exhaust since STI's run low 13's high 12's. We gave thumbs up at the end of the track before the turn road. I wish I would of stayed to talk to him, but I was already late for work.

What was his MPH? There's a good chance that he wasn't on stock turbo.

um the sti can easily get 12.4s on a stock turbo. the mph will be low, like 108-112

    Trap Speed

The STI traped at 110mph with a 1.6 60ft and I traped at 112 mph with a 1.9 60ft. About the turbo, I have no idea.

Um, the sti can easily get 12.4s on an aftermarket turbo as well. By the looks of it, because of his MPH, I'm betting he wasn't on stock turbo since he trapped 112 on a 1.9. 60ft. My guess is a pump gas(93) Green.

Theres no way an sti with a green is only gonna trap 110 unless hes got the ****iest tuner in the world.

By the way... how'd you pull of a 1.9 60 ft. with just falken tires? Theyre not that great of a drag racing tire in the first place. Especially if youre making enough power to pull a 112 trap. Hmm....

just takes skill. i did a 2.01 on stockers(kdw's) with stock hp. on a track that's never prepped to run on. now get a tracks that's prepped to race and some luck and lots of skill and it can easily happen. i havn't seen personally but have talked to and seen slips for at leat 10. oem tired 1.9 60 fts.
