    WRX vs 00+ Mustang GT

Was coming home from my classes today and came up along side of a modified Mustang GT, guessing 1999 or 2000 at least. It had a very loud exhaust, and gauges on the A-pillar.

Raced him from second @ 5000 (around 45-50 mph) and pulled 2 cars when we shut down at ~100.

so he has the stock turbo??

Im guessing this stang was a poser then, with air and water temps, LOL. Those mods should put a WRX ahead of a modded Stang but not ahead of a supercharged/spraying one.

I would have to agree. With those mods a nitrous/supercharged stang would have taken you.

    Haha,

Yea, I heard the extremely loud exhaust, pulled up next to him, saw the gauges and figured "ooh, a forced induction GT, lets get my ass kicked"

Then I didn't get my ass kicked!

The gauges were probably a clock and a volt meter

However, even though I beat this guy, I am MORE than well aware that those cars can be absolutely stupid fast. My friend has a 99 GT, another has an 02 Viper GTS. I know what domestics can do

Speaking of fast fords, I parked next to a brand new blue 04 cobra today at school, those are awesome

hmmm...I wouldnt put a 99 GT in the same sentence with a Viper...LOL

But the 04 cobras are just badass...So many of my friends have 03/04 cobras and are cruising around with 460-600rwhp and the cars are still perfectly streetable.

The engines in the Cobras are awesome. Almost as impressive as the LS1/LS2.
