    I hate these surprise attacks!!!

Man this is the second time some old guy in his sports car takes me by surprise. This is what happaned... as I was returning form my golf outing, I was pumped up becasue I did really good (almost got a hole in one) i was driving a bit fast going fast of the lights. So I comeup to a light next to a nissan 350Z, look over and see that older guy, then i proceed to give few revs and as the light turns green i give it a mild lunch. I look in the mirror and see him about 3-4 car lenghts back so I was oh well no go and shift to second. Then all of the sudden I hear his exhaust blasting (i love the 350z exhaust sound) becasue i had the window open, as he closes in i stomp it and keep him back to my back bumper untill the redline where i tried to shift to 3rd and missed the shift then he passes me i hit 3rd and just hang at his bumper going around some nice twists (I love that road it nice and curvy), then he hits the brakes and turns his turn signal on. Dammit thats the second time this has happaned to me, you can read my previous post its "AWD vs. AWD". The only consolation prize was a VW win, it was either r32 of just 1.8T the 20th anniverary edition because i heard loud tire screech. Most likely was the latter bacasue i took him off the line like he was standing still. NEXT time i will show no mercy to old guys in nice cars,no more surprises. LOL Oh and i need to get a better exhaust to go stage 2 any recommendations? ( I don't want it to be too loud.)

I know just what you mean. Take off hard and nothing, nothing, from the other guy, so you back off and short shift. Then he pins the throttle when you are 3k below the power and "wins." I can think of a couple of times this happened to me. Once it worked, once it didn't.

Like guys who actually try to make a pass stick under yellow or even red while the officials aren't looking, they are rats. When things like that happen, racing isn't really racing anymore, and the outcome doesn't really count.

Same thing happened to me with an SRT4. I took off mildly and he didn't join in, so I just slowly went on my way and shifted to 3rd at 40km/h (just under 2000 RPMs in 3rd) and THEN I hear him get on it an fly past me.

    Oh well...
