    WRX kills me

I just got my civic dx done. I've got a jackson racing supercharger with a 6 psi puley and an intake, far from a beast. Anyways, my story of defeat.

While heading home recently I saw a beautiful silver WRX on the highway doing about 85. Where I live there aren't too many WRX's so I thought I'd give it a try. I knew I was going to lose but I was curious how bad. In my current state of tune, the only thing I am fit to beat are stupid rice boyz. I'd heard that WRX's are gutless on the highway so I thought it might not be too bad. As he passed I matched his speed and we both took off, by about 102 mph I said "Fu*k it" and let off the gas, as the guy put about 6 car lengths on me and I wasn't gaining, in fact he continued to walk me with little effort.

Although his car costs way more than mine, in the end of the day he still kicked my ass, that's all that matters isn't it?
On a side note, how much did you guys spend on your WRX's after TTL and all that other dealer crap? I'm pretty interested in doing a WRX after college and selling the honda.

    Welcome to the club!
People around here spend about 22k-25k on a new WRX. After waiting the 1000 mile break in period, they start modding and some go for anywhere between $100-$8000.

I've spent very little on mods and have probably gained a full second in the 1/4 mile and 0-60. see mods in signature. i'm guessing with my muffler and the pulley I'm in the high 13's now.

    Yo

I bought my WRX for $25400 walkout and spent around $1500 in mods ... not counting tires. My 0-60 went from 5.6 to 4.8. I haven't done to 1/4 mile again since I did my last set of mods. It's all good ... just have some fun.

    251whp & 263ft/lbs ( Stock ): 0-60 = 4.8 ( Fastest = 4.1 ) & 1/4 = ?
    276whp & 290ft/lbs ( DP ): 0-60 = 4.5 & 1/4 = 12.9 @ 105mph
