    Mad WRX vs Dodge Viper

So I'm out and about last nite downtown when I spot a black Viper. I'm trying to get him to race but he won't bite. So I fly past him and I pull up to the next light. I see that he has followed me!

Light is about to turn green so I bring it up to 5k and hold it (i never launch this way), he's revving his engine, light turns green he has a very good launch . I bog the hell out of mine, so I'm behind one carlength for the remainder of our 1.5 block race

    I blew it!!!1

Found a red viper 5 minutes later, followed him all around, no action

Damn, that's hot!!! I just picked up a 18G, Hyperflow FMIC, PE650cc injectors, XX-Tuning header, ..... how much did you pay for the shortblock and tranny!?! I am thinking this may be a wise investment with all the power I will be putting down but the cost....

The short block install was a good deal and you know it. The gears were more then you wanted because your tranny was fu(ked up inside. I know you say all these other places said they would have done it for a lot less, but Bret is the man and worth his fee.

I gotta agree with Mike there fo sho. 100%. No offence Louis. In the world of broken internals, costs can rise faster than a boost guage on a stock turbo. Opening a business has a similar effect on a wallet.

You should come to a Club Clash at bandimere. That is the best chance to race a viper. The Viper club is about 25 vipers strong. I have raced 3 and only lost to one, that was when I was fast though (spray).

I don't see anywhere that I said Mike Shaw's install price was the reason I'm frowning. It's just sad to pay more for labor than parts instead of doing it yourself like you Harvey.

Mike is just not thinking clearly without boost

I won't be back at bandi til I get a new clutch. I tried to race some CBR 600 from a stop and my clutch was just smokin like crazy. So even if I didn't bog the launch against the viper the clutch probably would've fried anyway.

So do you expect a new clutch by Oct. 6th (last test n' tune)?

You are running a Hyper Single right? Do you know if there is anything crazy about installing that over a reg clutch? If it's the same I will help you out someday. I am busy for the next few days, but I'm sure we can work sometime that works out for both of us.
BTW I am thinking just fine with no boost, just feed up with dealling with the car right now. I am going to try a few more things, then I will be calling Bret to see what he thinks he can do for me.

I have an extra Hyper single I would sell for parts, 100$ Extra cover, used flywheel and used disc. It still worked, I just couldn't stand it anymore. Poor Mike. No boost
