Queston!! why does my car feel slower with a EXHAUST???

Not trying to be off topic .. today I played with my freinds M3 that I beat the other day and we made some videos.. BTW- i have a 04 STI with ecutek, downpipe and I now just added a exhaust... I know it added more power becuase when I got it reutned and dynof after I installed it it showed me 8 whp more... but for some reason I feel as tho it pulled harded when I just had the downpipe with stock exhaust??? can ite be that I lost low end power? or torque?? it really frustrates me . I spent so much money on my exhaust and feel like it's slower... can anyone explain?? It can't be I went from 2 inch to 3 inch right??
    Thanks

could be that 3 inch piping causes lower end to suffer just a lil.

the 3 in' should pay off later though. maybe its just you. or have you been riding in the m3 at all. that could change the feel. 8hp is not that noticable of a diff. anyways. only one way to find out for sure....track it

M3 is a fast car. Maybe he was just driving worse before so it seems like you are slower.
This car is making a poor man even poorer.

    OFF TOPIC:

How is the ECUTek, That is one that I am really considerring and need your opinion. Thanks and sorry for the Hijack.

I have an Invidai Ti TBE, and I noticed that the car seems a little laggier that without it down low but when you hit the high speeds at high RPM you notice the difference in how hard it pulls.

You're going to lose hp and torque down low. The exhausts are 3" which is great for performance when you are running high boost up high in the RPM range. However, it's too large when you're not running boost and therefore down low it suffers. Who drives in the low RPM range though? not me

I suppose it's possible that now that you've got not backpressure, the engine is running freer and more air is coming into the engine. Maybe the ECU has recognized the higher volume of air and detected some knock so retarded timing??? If the ECUtek does logging maybe go in and see if it rolled back timing?
