    I was with my buddy Kyle after we dropped his mach 1 off at the muffler shop to get some flows welded in. We were driving on this long straight stretch of road with my T-tops off. Caught a light and a blue Si pulled up next to us. He had aftermarket rims, some guages and an exhaust. He was inching up at the light so I yelled over to him, "Hey, is it quick?" He shrugged and said, "It's stock." I laughed and said "Me too" and threw a rev. Kyle shouted, "You go ahead and take the jump on green then he'll hit it." The guy nodded and started revving up. On green, he launched, and I saw some wheel hop as I eased out at idle. He put about 1/2 car on me then I nailed it with the trac control off, pulled about 6 cars through 1st, then stayed in it at WOT all the way through 2, 3, 4 and at 110 I had countless lengths on him, but he was still racing because when I let off the gas he started catching up! I braked to 60 and then he finally past me at about 100 or so and I tried to wave to him but he wouldnt look at me! I prayed for the next light to turn red so I could talk to him but it didnt and he sped off into the sunset and I never saw him again. What do Si's run in stock form, and with basic bolt ons....?? I knew I was going to win but I thought maybe he had nitrous or something, and it's always fun to just race for the heck of it.

    they run mid to high 15's in stock form..i'd call that a waste of gas

    IMO racing a willing participant in a "sports" car is never a waste of gas. It's why we drive what we drive :shrug:

    My friend who is a decent driver put down 15.7 stock in a 99 SI. With basic bolt ons(header, exhaust, intake, fuel rails) that same SI judging by how he performed against a modded LS Integra(basically same mods), the mods didn't even seem like it was worth it hehe. I'd say with all thos emods he runs a lower 15. It's a dog.
