I like the interior. I like how the guages are grouped, and the seats look comfy.

The latest body style of the Altima just doesn't go with a sporty, "tuner oriented" type of car, imo. It's gotten too far into the Camry realm to have a SE-R badge slapped on it and some 2-tone leather seats make it an enthusiast car.

Then again, perhaps that's not what they're going for.

edit: Yes, I know that's not all they've done to it. But you understand my point.

edit2: Of course, Dodge didn't radically redesign the Neon body style for the SRT-4. It's doin' pretty well I'd say. Who knows...

I'll be interested to see what kind of power it makes. It seems to me that it would eat into the Maxima's market share, of course making the Altima and the Maxima the same freaking car in the first place was also a mistake!

In spite of the poor handling characteristics of FWD, there are also advantages. The main advantage is packaging. A FWD car will always be lighter than a RWD car, all other things being equal. They are also safer in snow and heavy rain due to the fact that they understeer. With an LSD, this could be a very fun car.

what he said...we have to be a little more open-minded and realistic. people dont buy altimas for the weekend only, they must function as safe everyday 4-season fun family cars. fwd gives them pretty much of each. though adding awd in the lineup wouldnt hurt

    Very Nice

I like it, just would of been nicer if they put a little nice body kit to make it more sportier. This Altima is gonna be good competition for the Legacy GT, except in Handling FWD>>>AWD

YOu have GOT to be kidding me. FWD is inferior to AWD in handling. COMPLETELY. Even on dry pavement, AWD still handles better.

I was thinking the same thing about the drop.

It looks like a nice car, some 350Z styling cues. I like the new front bumper and the black chrome taillights (still ghey altezzas though). It'll probably sell a bunch for people that want a sporty car but do not care about absolute performance. It will probably be a fun daily driver for adults and stuff.
