I would like for them to test it against an STI.The WRX still fared well.As far as would this influence me buying the EVO,no.Do a search on Mitsubishi and recalls and look at their track record,it sucks...period.BTW,this has been mentioned before so,WTLW.

I remember reading that article in SCC. The EVO went against SCC's project WRX. Although the EVO did beat it in just about every category, the WRX was very close behind. Not bad for a $23,000 car vs a $30,000+ car.

It's not an STi and it stills competes with the Evo. The WRX STi is by far superior to the Evo VII. We'll have to wait and see how the Evo VIII competes!

Be honest fells though, Yall know a standard stock wrx will get its a$$ handed to it by a stock EVO period.
Mitsu is a sh%%y car though when it comes to reliablilty, remember when the CEO aplogized for hiding recall and failure problems. Can you say Japanese Ford?

I think its worse than a japanese Ford...

I HATE MITSUBISHI!!! Never again will I own one.

I do think that it's funny that their project WRX that wasn't an STI, but was in STI territory, was right behind. Not bad.

You MUST bring it to the local rice convention when you get it... promise?

Oh, BTW, Alamo Autosports is already selling parts for it. Check out the site. http://www.alamoautosports.com

They're of course, selling the HKS downpipe for $369 ... bwahahahaha...

That is the actual pic off of HKS USA's site... *shrug*

I'm thinking of sourcing some small diameter SS and having a shop weld it on if possible. I wonder how much that would cost.

Any idea how big the wastegate dump tube should be?

friend of mine lives in Penang he gave me a autocar mag, the asian edition, they tested the sti vs evo, the evo still beats the subaru, mostly because of the tecno gizmos on the mitsu in the drive train area, they did say the wrx was more difficult to drive but ofers alot more fun and better feel for the enthusiast driver.
in all i would not get the evo over sti, fun and feel is what it is all about.
side note, in asian countries they call our type of car a Turbo-Nutter, hahah..

Remember, the Evo that is slated for the US market will only make 250 hp.

That's funny, Tiff Needel said the WRX STi was easier to drive, more comfortable, and classier.
