Every year you get older, you realize more & more how much you didn't know That's why I tend to listen more to my elders. Just like in martial arts training... You have the Master & the Pupil. You're going down that part of the road that somebody 10+ years older then you has already done... granted we all carry something different in our pockets in the end.. but i'm speaking in general here You're not going to ask for sexual advice from your 8 year old brother (but who knows..hehe) .. you would rather your 20 year old brother or father With Age comes Wisdom (for most of us), so don't take away an old mans wisdom when he already has lost his youth!

Now back on the topic of Del Sol Rice ...

I did a stock 1995 vtec del sol run 15.5 at the track. That's about what newbie wrx owners run

Your getting hated on because your young because your writing checks ur a$$ can't cash, plus at your age, ur **** doesn't work your short as ****, 5'4 my little sister is bigger than that and she can't reach the peddles on my car where i sit, and yes because your young it means alot of things buddy, you can't go to R rated movies, you can barely get into a PG13 movie, you can't drive a car, you can't vote, you can't drink, you can't smoke, you can't by porn, you can't do a **** load, maybe when you grow up you will realize you should listen to the people that are older than you, they may know something you don't, ya may learn a lesson or two, and another thing don't call me bro ya little ****, I'm not ur bro nor would i ever want to be.

Turbos do amazing things for Civics. Back when I first bought my Celica, I still had 420 treadwear street tires on it, and it was completely stock. I raced my friend who (at the time) drove a 99 Civic Si with CAI, exhaust, suspension, and tires. Off the line he pulled me by an easy 2 car lengths as I tried compensating for my horrible launch and leftwards torque steering. Before the end of the 1/4 mile mark, I shifted into 3rd gear, caught, and passed him by a car. Now that he's slapped a T3/T4 on that sucker, I can pull him off the line by about a half car, then I might as well just step on the brakes, because he passes me like I'm standing still. Open wastegate, tires spinning, and smoke flying.

Amen brother, and 99% of the modded Hondas seem slower than stock. They put on low restriction exhaust which lower thier torque ratings to sub 100 levels. I have YET to see a Honda "modded" on the street that can outperform a stock WRX. I know they exist. I keep hearing stories about them, but low and behold they are as common as a Yetty sighting.

The problem with that, is that most of the kids who drive "modded" Civics only do ****ty suspension mods, altezzas, intakes, and canister exhausts from Autozone. The tasteful mods such as turbos, a good suspension setup with tires, and whatever else have you, costs money. Chances are, if they're buying a Civic and modding it, they don't have alot of money to start with.

If you don't care to drive then why do you post on a car board, doesn't seem to make sense to me.

oh ya i wouldnt doubt a civic with a nice turbo set up...or any car for that matter. But... liek said above, all the ones in my town are modded really untastfully with fart can mufflers, maybe an intake and then a park bench on the back. But i have seen some nice looking civics in magizines and stuff, but thats about it. Haha. Im sure they exist though, no doubt about it.

My point exactly. Most modded Hondas are owned by young kids who would rather spend money on a rediculous spoiler or body kit than spend money on a power adder. If I get schooled by one, I will be the first to shake their hand and tell them what a quick car they have. Until that day comes I will enjoy watching Hondas with unmatching body kits ready to fall off, spoilers that are unpainted, and coffee can exhausts litter the streets. Don't get me wrong I think these cars are great, and provide me with much amusement. By the way, what's holding you back from trading up for a WRX?

Certainly a dime a dozen anywhere you go nowadays. There are only 4 people in our "group" that drive boosted Civics, and all 4 of them are quick as hell.. with the fastest one being an EK hatch that's "supposed" to pull a mid-high 12 at this altitude. I have an in-car video of my friend with the boosted Si merging onto the highway before he was tuned, and even then... it felt fast as hell.

I have 2 videos of this particular Civic racing an STi from a dig, one of him racing a WRX from a roll, and one of him racing a modded TT Supra from a roll... surprisingly enough, the WRX pulled him just as hard (or so it seemed) as the Supra did. I should upload these eventually...

Oh, here's the other video: Right Click --> Save As

Unfortunately, as a poor college student, I can't afford to buy a WRX and drive my Celica until it's sold. Trading it in has thus far not proven to be a viable option because they're giving me $5,000 less than what I think my car is worth. So, I'd rather just wait patiently to sell it outright, then drive an old family vehicle until I find the WRX I want for what I want to pay for it.
