Not too bad and a stage 2 wrx usually is around that...I used to eat vr6's, type r's..things of that nature. I could keep up w/ a stock gt mustang. Don't think they are slow...The new ones from a roll are pretty nasty too..

I agree with you to a point there.....I owned a 98 maxima se and for a sports sedan that car was awesome...had the sweet bose so you could crush accord v6's as you listened to tunes in comfort...but i don't think my maxima could have hung in ANY way with my 02 stage 2 wrx.....that car was a full second faster in the quarter (mid 13's vs mid 14's).....even with an intake on the maxima the S2 wrx would walk it pretty hard.....i had many 00-02 maxima's try my old wrx on the highway when i lived in NY and they all got walked pretty easily. Maybe the newer ones with 260 would make it a better run but a 98 maxima vs a Stage 2 02 WRX would see the nissan watching tailights....that's my opinion based on owning both cars

As far as 1/4 mile time no...

But from a roll..they would both trap around 97-99 mph...

hey i am not making this up i really did take that guy however as far as the new maximas yeah 260 is nice for a while i was thinking about it myself (about getting one) the only reason i didn't was that everyone has them and the suspension is a bit soft. From what i heard however the new maximas dont make that much to the wheels, something like 180 whp thats just from what i heard though i dont know for sure but nissans are solid cars they will run forever if taken care of, you know i found out, form this forum, that the window mechanism in the subaru is made by nissan

about getting a maxima. My advice get a G35 faster, sportier and similar price. I dont see the point when people buy a maxima. Maybe base model but once you get that big leather package which most people opt for. I just dont get it

I agree with Audi why not just get a 350z or G35 if you want a sedan? Not to say that maximas are not nice cars I happen to like them a lot, almost as much as the Q45. Also Subaru_Crazy I never really thought of it a big "race" I was just messing around and thought I'd share (as I only took it up to about 70). Also it is my belief that I would put around 6 car lengths on any stock maxima in a race situation.

I belive w/your 18g you would probably put more..just not in that short stint...from like 30-80 or 100 then absolutely...
