The srt-4 handles better stock, and civics can handle way better then imprezas.

No one can answer your question because you are asking about thousands of different combonations of different cars. There are pleanty of civics out there that are slower then stock wrxs in every way and there are pleanty more that are faster then stock wrxs in every way, except for possibly 60ft time.

I never said actually said stock but there are a few stock civics that will handle better stock. Such as the si's. Its not really that surprizing civic is a smaller car, double wishbone suspension all around, and lighter. The only way it would handle worse is a very tame shock spring set up.

But if you paid 27k for a wrx yes you did waste alot, you can get them for 22k out the door with 5 miles on the odo.

Wow, you spent way too much on that car. You could have got an Evo for that price. And yes a stock Evo > a stock WRX.
This car is making a poor man even poorer.

eh i didnt spend 27, believe me, 27 is just the sticker price and the price that was in my head when i wrote the post. Im not actually sure of the final price, my dad knows, i just pay him so much $$ a month.

But i think we paid maybe around 21.

I guess it makes sense that the civic is smaller and lighter, but doesnt our AWD help us out at all?

Awd will help you pull out of a corner faster, but it doesnt defy phycis. You cant pull more lateral gs in a turn because you have awd instead of front or rear wheel drive in a steady state corner its all about tires, weight, chassis set up.

    Guess I'll chip in.

stock vs. stock, a WRX "should" beat a GTP from a dig if you have a good launch. If you bog it, it'll be close. From a low speed roll it should be pretty close as you lose the AWD advantage and GTP's have mad low end torque.

that's about all I know, exit stage left
    06 GTO - yeah, it's pretty quick

stock wrx wont beat a Volkswagen Golf R32. I have seen people run anywhere from 13.9-14.1 with great launches at 99+mph. These numbers are very consistant with good drivers... you need a great driver to get anywhere close to a 14.1 with the wrx, and still the trap will be in the mid 90's compared to high 90's. I ran a wrx from a roll a couple of days ago, i had 4 other people in my car, and he had 2 others, and i took him VERY easily, and he had the hit.

On the other hand, stock GTi's should be pretty easy to beat with a stock wrx, but if the gti's, especially the 1.8t is chipped, then itll be much closer and from a roll, it should be all GTi.

that's about all I know, exit stage left
I beat a GTP with my Stock 1.8t. THey arent very fast

the actual fact is that a stock WRX is a slow POS.......

the handle like pigs, stop horribly, have insane body roll, no top end....

but a Stage IV+++++ with FP green and DR500 and nitous will solve that problem.....severely..

Never said that I just dont have delusions about how great the car is. I know its strenghts and weaknesses and I know other cars can do certain things better. I just choose to accept reality.
