I know they trap anywhere from 105-107 so they are not slow from a roll. They are said to be the best all around mustang ever. I would take the win..

All this week a friend of mine was warning me and telling me to watch out for this yellow Mach1 running around.
He raced the Mach1 in a white STI (stock) and pulled 2 cars off the line and by 3rd the Mach1 was by his side and passed him in 4th then kept pulling.
Sure enough, I saw the yellow Mach1 this eve. So I chased him down and we started talking, he asked what I had and I told him a full swap etc, he was stock from what I can tell. So we found a nice road where we wouldnt have to worry about cops or other cars.
I decided I didnt want to go from a dig, and took my chances with the roll on. So we went from a 2nd gear roll and I was around 4k when we went for it. He gave three honks and we were off. Up till the top of 3rd we were neck and neck, then I grabbed 4th and started to very slowly inch ahead, but when I went for 5th he shut down. We pulled up to the next light and compliment one another and that was that.
There very quick from a roll, quicker then I expected. Im wondering if there underrated from the factory, because they seem a little too fast for there weight and power figures, I dunno, all I know is there quick. So for you STI guys out there, unless your modded, watch out.

I don't think that mach one was stock. I saw one run a 13.9 at E-town. Not sure his trap speed
From the stories I was hearing, I was excited to see that I was creeping on him. Im all over this winOriginally posted by 13secwrx

Good kill Mach-1's are strong cars. I've run a stock Mach1 and didnt have any trouble pulling him to about 120 or so. A friend has one with 4.10 gears (gears really wake up those modular motors) and a catless exhaust. We went from a 40mph roll and it was pretty close. He pulled a car on me in fourth but when he had to shift to fifth I gained it back, then we shut down.

from what I have read about them, they are underrated from the factory, and put down somewhere in the neigbourhood of 280 to the wheels.. Which means more than it's rater crank HP.
02 WRX WRBP sedan..
Upgrades??? stock...
Their crank is supposed to be 305hp...Rear doesnt lost that much compared to us typically...Nice run by the way. Lately it seems like I have that same problem. I am racing faster cars and they pull my 4th but I gain it back in 5th ...Weird..

If it were making 305 at the crank it would be putting down roughly 255-265whp. Add in the fact that they weigh close to 3500 pounds. There def making more power to be pulling STI's like that, very fast cars.

A friend of mine bought a new Mach a few weeks ago, and had it dynoed for a baseline, and the damn car put down 274rwhp. I was more than impressed and that evening we went out cruising and eventually found a nice open road that was completely empty.
Long story short, I pretty much destroyed him, but I'm going to let him get to modding and then we'll play again. First thing he actually did was ditch the Mach1 rims (soooo ugly) and put on some chrome TTII's.
Black Mach with chrome rims looks goooooooood (esp. in my rearview mirror)
Whats on the Mach 1 to make it faster than the Standard GT?
GT:
Horsepower 260 @ 5250 RPM
Torque 302 @ 4000 RPM
Mach 1:
Horsepower 310 @ 5800 RPM
Torque 335 @ 4200 RPM
