    Mechanically, the 2003ís have a 112 c.i. Eaton supercharger, intercooler, intercooler reservoir, slightly different heads and cams, 8.5:1 compression, forged pistons and Manley H-beam rods, an Iron block, Tremec T-56 transmission, 3.55:1 rear gears, and stronger half-shafts

    I have saw a bone stock Mach 1 run a 13.10 107 MPH. Some Mag got it to run 12.9.

    Yeah, I've seen a 13.2 from a local guy here. FWIW, the one in the video has ran 12.9@107

    Was that your SRT 4 against the Mach1? The 4.10 gers a good for 1/4 mile runs, but suck on the highway.

    Yeah, that was mine. Not sure what you mean about 4.10 sucking on the highway. Acceleration is acceleration. The higher the ratio the faster the acceleration in any given gear, right?

    Unless you mean he has to shift sooner or the RPMs suck for freeway driving?

    You give up top end with the 4.10 on the highway. I had a 97 Cobra with a Vortech S trim and 4.10 gears. Car sucked on hihgway runs. I could pull on my competition, but after 4 th it died out. I changed them to 3.55 and then 5th became a monster. Top speed with 4.10 was 145 ish and with the 3.55 I hit 160 mph. Also I could pull stronger in 4th with the 3.55.

    the stock mach1 i have seen trap anywhere from 104-106 and get et's of 13.3-12.9... the reason is that they have a solid rear with 3.55 gears, a higher compression ratio than the other 4v's and put a a hell of a lot more torque...
