    Thumbs up Lucky

I for one am glad you are alive to tell us about it. Having lost my license for a year doing something like that back in 87 all I can say is good timing. Less cops having more area to cover was the only reason you got by with it. My only concern is that some of the youngster out there who still believe only bad things happen to other people might think this was cool enough for them to try. Sounds like you are a very experienced driver and my hats off to you for getting one by the MAN but please, please be careful. When I drove over the road I had the misfortune to come upon many a twisted metal heaps and at the speed you were driving I shudder to think about what would have happened if you'ld of lost control or Mr. Murphy decided it was time to blow out a tire. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy blasting around but my mortality keeps me a tad more grounded than when I was younger. God bless and be good.

    I agree.

A speeding ticket is a dumbass reason to run from the police. Besides, they were outside their cars, they didn't even have your speed?

Why did they chase you in the 1st place?

Pete, I'm with you - I'm glad he, the cop who followed him, and potential innocent victims nearby are alive.

It's a neat story. I'm sure it's true. I did some stupid things when I was a kid in my '70 GTO Judge (how I convinced my dad to buy that for me when I was 17 is still a mystery).

But I guess your perspective changes a bit when you have to bury kids and cops who die on the road because of irresponsibility. The momentary thrill is simply not worth the many risks.
