TWIN Turbo WRX vs V6 Accord then Dodge Pickup

I was on freeway last night and a Accord V6 came screaming up then braked to get right next to me. All i could see is his dual crooked coffee can mufflers hanging out the back. He gave me a rev and we were off. I put about 2 cars on him from 60-100ish. We did that a couple of times then went back to normal speeds.

A few miles down the road i came up on a Dodge Pickup. It was a half ton slammed with mean sounding exhaust. He rev'd as i was passing so i slowed up to get even with him. Then he got the 1/2 car jump cause he hit it first. By 100 i was only able to pull to his front wheels then i shut it down. He got off on the next ramp and that was it.

I have the stock turbo under the hood. Ive mounted the VF34 in the trunk strategically placing it in its fedex box along with STI injectors, and Walboro fuel pump. Hence.....i can now claim i am twin turbo

at least til wednesday.

But whats the deal with those half ton dodge trucks? They got v8's?

I was prepared to be really shocked...either someone has the money to do a tt setup on a wrx or someone was telling the stupiderest story I've ever heard.

I have seen some TT kits floating around, but haven't seen anyone actually bother to do it....

As for the Dodge trucks, I will say that the Hemi ones have some serious balls... especially downlow.... They can move!

That truck would have put car lenghts on him. I bet you it was a lightly modified dakota 5.9r/t. Those can be quite fast w/just some minor bolt ons. The srt 10 would have put quite a distance on a stock turbo.

I agree. I don't think it was the srt 10. If it was, skyjock would of been seeing the guys tail lights

Possibly a standard cab 2wd Hemi. I saw a full size 4 door (they have 4 full doors) Hemi turn a 14.8 stock (exhaust and all), and a 13.75 on nitrous (saw him purge) last week at the track. A standard cab 2wd would have considerably less weight....

This was it. Got to give it some props whatever he's done to it. I was only able to gain a door length from 60-100. After that im sure he'd start pulling away.

What's the deal with the Dodge commercials for the new pickup? They claim it's the "faster pickup on the road today" or "fastest production pickup ever". Wouldn't a stock Syclone chew it up and spit it out? Someone needs to call Dodge on this claim.

I thought the Lightning was still faster.
