My brother was talking about getting one as a daily driver if he's Altima dies. It does look relatively nice but I wonder how it performs?

160 hp and 163 lb/ft. seem like a good start to me. With the addition of a factory warranteed supercharger bumping power to 200+, I'd say performance will be right around RSX territory. What this thing has though is plenty of torque. And we all know what a turbo can do to a 2.4 block...(SRT-4)...

I figure it will pretty much eat up the civic coupe market and others in its class. At 16K loaded, it's hard to pass up. The Celica they say at maybe killed because of it.

Celica sales suck anyway. We sell 2-3/month out of ~ 100-125 new units. Right now there is a better than 50% chance it will be dropped anyway....

Scion is a brilliant car company. These things are huge where i live and its not hard to understand why. They give cheap cars with lots of modifcation strength with cars that don't look half bad. I wouldn't drive one but the idea is right.

The tC is the ONLY Scion that looks half-decent. The xA and especially the xB are hideous beyond belief. I haven't talked to a SINGLE person who thinks the xB looks good. Who can? It's a friggin box on wheels. Someone actually mentioned to me the other day that it looks like an 80's Astro van, and they're right! So all these kids who are trying to be uber-cool in their xB's are basically pimping a smaller version of their mom's old Astro van. Kudos to them for that.

They might be hideous to some... but the reason for their existense aparently the because of the new retro craze of box type vehicles( read: honda's box car ).

For ~$17K, it's the best buy in this price range if you don't care too much for performance. 160hp/160tq is plenty enough for most people (not us ). Add in all those standard goodies (mp3, dual moonroof, knee airbags, all the power stuff, reclining rear seats, 17" rims, ABS) and it just about kills all the competition.

About the only things that come close is the Civic Si and Sentra SE-R. The Si looks ugly, and the Sentras exterior/interior is just terrible. The Mazda3 can match the perfromance, but not the price and standard features.

I like it. The Xa looks like every car I saw in Italy when i was there last year. It's the direction cars are going in the rest of the world, I think. The Xb looks tinny as hell.
