    Porche Carrera VS STi...

Coming home from work today, I came up fast behind a line of cars on a 2 lane, anchored by a Porsche Carrera driven by a Blonde girl. When the road opened up to 4 lanes, she saw fit to pass 3 cars on the right. I did not persue (there were lots of cars in front, she had no where to go), but I was happy to see that a rich b***h in her Porsche was so threatened by my Subie that she passed on the right to keep me off her $100K bumper.

I played with a new Carrera 4 about a month ago. Was fun! I was following and had to keep hitting the breaks to avoid hitting his bumper. I passed, got the thumbs up, and went home.... now for that damn 04 Cobra that keeps picking on me in my neighborhood

Ever considered the idea that she didn't appreciate the tailgating and that you might have been an @ss for doing so?

By the way, for all(not necessarily you bcollan) that do in fact try to stir up such misbehaviours on the streets(eg tailgating, constant accelerating up to others' bumpers and hitting the brakes)....you are no different than the lil punk in the green Civic doing that to you or drivers of other performance cars.

I find it fascinating that so many people believe that everyone is watching, thinking about, or generally noticing them, instead of the reality of everyone being so stuck in their own little bubble that they never even use their rear view mirror, much less care if some guy is tailgating them.

I think there is a much better chance that she was talking on her hands free phone, rescheduling her pedicure appointment, and like everyone else, passed on the right to get around the zombies driving in front of her.

Or if she's like me, she was more threatened that the idiot tailgating her was driving without insurance, would rear end her, and leave her stuck with deductibles and higher rates.

Hey guys, I wasn't tailgating, I just spotted a 911 up ahead and closed the gap fast to keep other cars out. We don't see many "exotics" here in my neck of the rural Jersey woods, and I wanted to take a closer look. Maybe she didn't even see me, but at least let me have my fantasy!
BTW, I don't believe she felt threated by me in any way, and I certainly don't condone that type of behavior. If anything, she behaved a lot more aggressively by passing on the right, which I feel is somewhat dangerous and illegal in NJ.

I had some mid-life-crisis lzr do the exact annoying thing ppl are talking about on here to me. He had paper plates on his Carerra 4 (sp?) and we were in heavy service-road traffic. I only wish I could have watched him put it in the grass like on the vid...

    Is this extreme?
Because I don't want to be a part of anything that's not extreme.

Unless it's very high speed runs, STi wins, no question. But.....please keep it on the track. Kudos for keeping a rational head and not following her right hand lane passing lead. BTW...passing on the right is "illegal" is most areas...just never enforced. Same as "slow traffic stay left" signs are ignored and never enforced. The besterds......

ran into an older cat and his woman in a carrera convert.
he was in the left lane of a 3 lane road, i moved from the middle to the right lane because my turn home was coming up, didn't speed up either.
he saw this and i heard him downshift and start taking off...
not wanting to pass this up, and still steaming from a bad misshift against a 350z, i played along and slid over to the lane next to him and immediately caught up and let off the gas a bit.
i figure this was enough, since i caught him fairly easy, but nope, he went for it again.
much to the dismay of my fiance and probably against my better judgement, i caught him and put a couple cars on him @ about 100-110.
i quickly shut it down there though as visions of traffic tickets, or worse jail time, woke me up
