    I usually don't streetrace, but....

Well I needed to take my car back down to the shop to get a few things fixed after installing all the new piping, etc for the FMIC and other junk, but I was on my way back home late last night and ran across a red C5 Corvette hardtop, and I was thinking Z06 until I pulled up next to it, but alas it wasn't. I want a run against one of those ever since reading about neversatisfied, but that's beside the point.

At the light I look over at him, and he's just chilling, ignoring me, so I give a rev to get his attention and he looks over and smiles. I grin back, point ahead and rev it again, and he revs back his stock exhaust and I'm thinkin, boy are you in for it

Like turns green and I let it go from about 4500rpms and almost instantly put about 1.5-2 lengths on him through first. I shift to second and pull another length and we run to about the top of third and I let off about 5 lengths ahead. He coasts up beside me, with a stunned look on his face, and we pull off and talk for a little while.

The only mods he had were DRs and a LS6 intake and it was a six-speed. His car really looked nice, but he couldn't believe he just got his ass handed to him by a Scooby.

Well, it's about time my car got a kill against a Vette, I've lined up against them at the track before, but with my luck it was a H/C/I ZO6 the first time and he ran and 11.3 or so, and I missed a shift, and ran about a 13 flat This one made up for it though

It didn't come with a flange and it was ordered via the internet by the performance shop that tunes my car

You can get one yourself here w/o the flange - Clicky

Mine didn't come with a flange either.

    Nice kill. I can't wait to race a c5 and a z06.
What was your 60ft time on your 12.3 run?

Also any pics with the HKS front mount?

On the 12.3 run it was a 1.7x, nothing super special, but not bad

I'm holding off on taking a new round of pics until I get everything finished and installed exterior-wise and actually might get some professionally done, just to have nice ones (compared to the ones I can take).

I'm still waiting on the new hood (sans scoop) and am trying to decide what wheels to order.

What kind of 60' times can C5's put up with DR's? Just curious...

    Nice run regardless.
