    Beltronics 1/4 mile timer-does it work?

    Has anyone tried either of these out to see if they work? You just attach it to your windshield and its supposed to give you accurate 0-60, hp, 1/4 mile times etc..Looks pretty cool to me.

    can't be to horribly accurate...

    it DOES plug in to your ciggy lighter... unless thats the new platform for tuning...

    I havent used the Beltronics unit but I own the GTech Comp and I absolutely love it. I havent taken my car to the track so I cant verify the accuracy but others have said it is within .2 or so in the 1/4 mile.

    I have the Gtech pro also and its pretty impressive for the price. Seems accurate (reproducable numbers), but I haven't compared been to a track.
