Worse yet, it was for his wife. Of course as our sales guy was going over the operational schtuff re: our X5 I didn't hear a word he said as I was listening/watching the other sales guy do the same w/ the M3 next to us (all the while thinking I should be driving that off the lot instead of a frick'n suv...but hey, it's the wife's).

I must say that guy's an idiot. Either he has all the options or he got ripped for paying over the window msrp. The hardtop I believe sells for around $2500 as one of the dealer add on options. The M3 vert is based for $55k w/ tax and decent options, you are looking at $68k at most which should includes the price for the hardtop already.

back to the topic, I believe 02wrxnj was speaking of the coupe, not the convertible. Unless he says otherwise.

Cant wait to go to stage 2.5+ with Cobb ( with Monster P&P VF34 ). Its pretty close to TXS stage 3+ IMHO.

In a short race, the WRX will shine. I posted a gtech pro result of an M5 and a WRX, with me driving both (not at the same time). It clearly showed that by 60mph in the WRX the M5 is still behind in distance but was considerably faster in speed. So in short races the AWD launch will beat faster cars if they are average drivers like myself.

    M3 Maybe
M5 No way with the whp you say you have. I think and M5 has like
320-340 rwhp. from a stop maybe but then the M5 will catch up but after 100 mph whoever you raced cant drive

I have a vf22 and from a 1st gear roll I raced this m5 to 130mph. No lye or joke. He drove his car just fine and he didnt miss any gears. My car pulls hard in 3rd and in 4th I hit my full 21 psi. I am actually faster in 3rd and 4th gear then I was in 1st and 2nd due to my setup. (vf22, fmic). He never got past my back bumper. He might have caught me at like 150 but who races to that...well...

260 vs 330 whp i know that the M5 is hevy but its 70 whp difference thats like putting a SC on a car. M5 trap anywere from 105-108. What are you trapping at?

Ins't there a 1000lbs difference....I guess from a roll it is not a big of a deal, but still something to consider...

    audirs6 has a point,

It all depends on what speed you race. In the lower speeds the weight of a car is a big factor, as the speed increases, aerodynamics, gearing, raw power etc. is more of a factor than you would think. Just look at the unlimited top speeds and you can see what audirs6 is saying. M5 180+mph Stge 4 WRX 160+ mph

    Thanks for reading
