i assume this was in the 350whp evo, and not the stock wrx? or is your profile out of date...?

As the night progressed, it got colder and though this is good for power it is hell on the stock Advan tires traction wise. My 60' times never did match what I hoped for, but the Cusco twin disk clutch was wonderful.

I have done some fuel tuning on the car adjusting the very conservative base map in the AEM EMS, but I haven't touched the timing map. I am too chicken **** to adjust ignition timing while road tuning my carI think there is a LOT of hidden power in the timing curves, just need to get on an AWD dyno and see what I can come up with

PS: All times are full weight, spare tire, jack, blah blah blah.

o-|-<) bryanBased on weight and trap speed I was probably close on 360 HP at the wheels on pump gas and 380 at the wheels on race gas. This is with boost running 21 psi in the upper RPM ranges.

360whp-380whp? and only 110-113 traps?
what type of dyno? AEM rocks!
nice times.. btw w/ 311whp on my wrx I was getting 115 traps.

The dyno called "the real world" where you calculate HP based on the weight of the vehicle and the trap speed it runs in the 1/4 mile. Simple physics and some higher math... all available at the click of a mouse here: http://www.rpmoutlet.com/dyno.htmOriginally posted by Bluesteel

Good times.
FWIW I trapped 109mph (12.5@109) using the same map on the UTEC that I dynoed at 300whp. Never got to make a full pass on the 350whp map.![]()

your second run was 2mph higher with the trap but less than a tenth quicker in the e.t.
i think if you can get those 60's down to the 1.7 range on that 105 gas you could pull of 12.3 or so

My WRX was trapping around 111mph year before last. It's pretty widely acknowledged that this equates to approximately 300WHP give or take.
The Evo is not so much heavier to require 60-80HP more to get it to those traps.

I agree with your estimate, I couldn't get any traction at all that night due to the low temps. I hope things work better next TuesdayOriginally posted by DTR maxima

If you are using Shiv's dyno then I agree. If you are using any other dyno besides a dyno dynamics, or if you are calculating HP based on trap speed and weight of the vehicle (3400 lbs with me driving) you end up with around 360 HP to run 111 mph traps.Originally posted by pace

Awesome!! I am LOVING my Vishnu Stage 1, I am up to about 352 hp. I am not really into drag race stuff but I just HAD to see how much the time has improved. The best quarter I got was 12.1 @ 113.2 mph, best 0-60 I have got is 3.8 seconds![]()
