you thought you'd smoke it by more? I think by 80 if it was manual and he had a clue how to drive he would be neck and neck w/ you and pulling away.. Z28 is about 300 whp assuming a newer model.

Line up next to this Z28 at the light. It seems stock, but pretty loud (don't know if stick or auto). Anyways, we went on green and I jump out the hole right away and pull about 2 or 3 cars ahead until 80mph. I thought I would have smoke it by more with my mods. What do those run stock and how much power and tq?

"Does this look like a Q to you?"
<swivles hips>
"How bout now?"
Giggidy Giggidy Giggidy!
you thought you'd smoke it?! LOL
was it an older model (very sharp front end) or one of the newest ones (more round front)?
I dyno 330rwhp in mine with very minor mods. Ive personally seen them run as low as 12.7 BONE stock. Sure, some are slower, and many are piloted by goons who cant drive, but they are FAST stock, if we're talking about the 98 or newer models.

I've owned one, Stock
It was like an early 80's model![]()

Isn't the SS more powerful than a Z28? This look exactly like the one I raced. Only difference was it has a Z28 badge on the front fender sides (unlike the one shown).

yea, that's an LS1. The SS's are very comparable to the z28s...its mostly a badging/cosmetic package. It cracks me up when people ask if I have an SS and when I say "no, z28" they get all dissapointed as if the SS is something mighty.Originally posted by WiCkeDrEx

I know this guy with a Z running consistent 11 at the track. His daily driver also. I'm very careful not to go looking for this guy cause my bike would have its hands full with this one. Only problem with this guys car.... been in the shop more than on the streets.
Stoplight you were saying that 98 or newer are the only ones fast? They have the LS1's right.
Whats engines are in the 97 and older mullet mobiles?
What punch can they pack? Ive heard good things about em.Originally posted by axion7606
Lt1's
i'm pretty sure they run high 13's stock for the LT1
Yeah, LT1s run low 14s to mid 13s stock depending on the year/model. They have very large aftermarket support (like the LS1), so they can be made very, very fast pretty easily.
So 2002 was the last year of the camaro. Same with the firebird/firehawk? They were basically same cars right?
Yep, sadly their production was haulted in 2002. The Firebird and the Camaro shared the same platform. The differences were cosmetic.
