going fast is fun, i agree, but if you're going 170 on a straight flat line then its less fun for me. i like the maneuvering in and out, going through the turns and feeling the G forces - doing that fast is a thrill for me -

I bought my WRX so I could have fun on the windy backroads and daily driving around town. I didn't buy it so I cold go 130mph on the freeway. That's just an excuse "i could beat you top end", if you race and you win, you win. It doesn't matter at what speed or by how far. If you win from a start, a roll or whatever, if you win...you win. I have more fun between 0-70 than at any other speed, that's why I bought the WRX!!!

Well I just fitted an SBC i-D and am frankly stunned by how much quicker the VF30 is spooling. I concur with Dan; Unichip boost control really does suck...

Also; I have a bunch of exhaust gaskets incoming and some fireseal muffler cement so I can get this b*tch sealed up for good. Don't think I'll have that done by Wednesday though.

Finally, MotorMatrix is patiently waiting for me to place an order for the NOS kit. I keep trying to talk myself out of it, but it's like resisting the inevitable. I'll try to make a firm decision this week so I can get it installed before the next Test 'n Tune in August.

Did you run Bandimere on the 4th? I read that Harvey won a trophy and had a 13.7 pass. Given that most of the WRXes were allegedly running mid 16s, I already feel redeemed and almost proud of my 14.5. LOL.

I heard that WRXThis only ran a 13.4..... *crickets chirping*

...methinks Phast is feeling pretty smug.

I think it's unlikely that I'll be racing this Wednesday, but I plan on bringing Dixie to spectate. See you there.
