    Me vs Suzuki GSX-R

It was about 2:00am and my friend and I were driving home from work(we work at the same place). He had his GSX-R 600cc bike and i had my WRX. He decided that he wanted to race so we hit the highway and went from a 50mph roll. I pulled about 2 cars lengths on him up to 85mph. Then thats when he started gaining and at about 105mph he started pulling away little by little. By 120mph he had 3 cars on me and we shut down. All in all, i expected to get my a$$ handed to me but it was a pretty close race

I am finding this a little hard to believe. A stock gsx-r600 can run 11.0's @ 120-125 Your set up should be good for mid 12's @ maybe 108-110. I am just not seeing this from a roll.

I am not one of those "cars can't beat bikes" people. I have seen cars rape bikes before, but not a WRX, and not from a roll, with those light of mods.

Eh, if the bike guy didn't wind it out all the way in each gear, or started off low in the bike's powerband, it won't reach it's 10.9 at 126+ mph potential like the guys in the magazines get.

    Regardless, nice death.

Thats why he didn't pass me until we were over 100mph. I mean i saw one of those bikes run up at the track and it was hitting low 11's. While we were racing i was like what the hell is taking him so long? lol

I own a 600 and a 954. At 60 in second I would be in my powerband. 3 to 4 seconds after that i'd be bangin off each shift while keepin it riding the redline. No Rex even with mods could pull on me. 96 at the wheels may not sound like much but link that to a sub 400 lb bike and you got a rocket between your legs. Does your friend ride a lot? My 954 would eat my STI for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then spend some time snacking on some dessert. 0-60 under 4 sec and 1/4 in under 11 with trap speeds at 125 and 137 (for the bigger bike), when stock, you gotta be doing something special or your friend is sandbaggin'.
