If any of you are readers of Grassroots Motorsports them you know about the 2004 Challenge.

If you are not familiar with the Challenge, it's pretty simple. Find and modify a car for the net price of $2004. It can be a junkyard car, a home-built car, or even a newer car that lower the net price by stripping and selling parts - you just have to be able to show that you've only tossed away $2004 bucks. They've done the Challenge each year for the past two or three years.

Of course there's no telling what the auto-x course was like but it's impressive how fast $2004 can get you through the 1/4 mile!
